I use iDrive mainly as a disaster recovery fall-back. the local cloud backup copy is synchronised with the cloud once a while to assure easy access to data if something will happen to the local cloud.

I suspect the downsides are a case of 'you get what you pay for', but as long as my data is reliably stored somewhere, it's hard to complain too much about everyday use. If other options are comparable in price upon next renewal, I would almost certainly switch away for the benefit of better backup software, even though it means having to re-upload everything again.

Reasonable pricing which includes a free annual bulk backup to a provided hard drive (they even pay for the postage). Application thus far appears to have a relatively light resource load on the computer and does not interfere with productive use of the machine.
